Aliesha Bryan

Aliesha Bryan (La Paloma Negra) has enjoyed many meaningful milestones, including choreographic commissions, and local, national and international performances. Notable appearances include: the Hemispheric Institute; WestFest Dance Festival; United Nations Headquarters; Victoria Flamenco Festival; Terraza 7; the African American Museum in Philadelphia, and the Kings Theatre. La Paloma is a featured lecturer in the Camille A. Brown & Dancers Social Dance for Social Change series, curated by notable scholar Brenda Dixon Gottschild, and has also been profiled in Dance Magazine. La Paloma is also a body-based psychotherapist, educator and speaker and spearheads a three-tiered organization focused on the diffusion of Flamenco and Spanish dance, intersections between movement and mental health, and access to pertinent and consequential resources.
